Sectional felling of a giant Beech tree in Bredbury, Stockport

David Myers of Myers Tree Care is interviewed and shown sectional felling a ninety foot Beech tree with his Tree Work team in Bredbury, Stockport. The tree had a preservation order on it but the felling was approved by Stockport Council as the tree had become dangerously unstable after high winds caused a large branch to crash through the owner’s roof.

This was a very difficult job demanding the highest tree surgeon skills to ensure lives were not put at risk. The tree was felled in sections using a crane and traffic management was needed to keep things moving on this busy Stockport Road.
