Myers Tree Care offers a ‘Lift and Shift’ service, utilising our crane wagon. This unit consists of a Volvo FL6 18 Ton flat bed wagon with a sleeper cab and Hiab 160-2 crane, capable of lifting 2 tons at approx 25ft.

This service is regularly used by a wide range of clients, including fellow tree care contractors who utilise this service to transport their large timber from site, this reduces the need to ‘man handle’ heavy timber and reduces labor and transportation costs.

Timber can either be transported back to the contractors own premises or disposed of by ourselves, if we take the timber as part of the arrangement, it is recycled / used as explained in our waste disposal section.

The unit is available for hire 24/7 and is regularly working, re-locating site cabins, shipping containers and is on full time contract work during late November and mid December transporting and erecting Christmas trees throughout the North West of England for various clients.

The wagon and crane are fully compliant with all regulations which effect such an outfit, these include an operators license for the wagon, a current and valid LOLER test certificate for the crane and all lifting slings / chains and lastly the operator of the crane holds a current and relevant certificate of competence to operate the crane safely.
